Are You AI Ready?
Most companies feel pressure to “do something” with AI.
Few have checked whether the foundations are actually in place.
Take the GrowthZoneAI AI Readiness Scorecard to see where you stand.
Most people feel pressure to “do something” with AI. This scorecard helps you spot where AI could genuinely help — whether you are a solo founder, a small team, a charity or a growing business.
Designed for solo founders, SMEs, charities and growing teams who want to use AI sensibly — not just experiment for the sake of it.
What is the AI Readiness Scorecard?
This is a short, structured set of questions to help you understand whether your company is ready to use AI — or whether a few foundations need strengthening first.
Already using AI but not sure what to do next? The scorecard helps you spot gaps, prioritise improvements, and choose a sensible next step.
It takes around 2 minutes.
You'll receive:
- Your readiness band
- Your score
- How close you are to the next stage
- A recommended next step
Plain-English questions. Practical next steps. No need to be technical.
AI Readiness Scorecard
Score each question from 1 to 5:
- • 1 = Not in place
- • 5 = Clear and working
1.Is there a clear reason your company wants to use AI, linked to business priorities?
Not hype. Not pressure. Actual purpose.
2.Have you identified specific processes or tasks where AI could deliver measurable improvement?
Emails, reporting, content, admin, customer service, ops.
3.Are the workflows you want to improve already mapped or understood?
If processes are unclear, AI adds noise.
4.Is your core information, such as documents, files, customer notes or useful business data, organised enough for AI to help?
Not perfect. Just usable. If you are a solo founder, think about whether your own tools are organised enough to support you.
5.Are your current systems, such as email, files, CRM or project tools, stable and easy to use?
If you are a solo founder, think about whether your own tools are organised enough to support you.
6.Do you, or the key people in your business, feel confident using AI tools in daily work?
Confidence matters more than technical depth at this stage.
7.Do you have clear guidance on what can and cannot be shared with AI tools?
Especially relevant for charities and regulated sectors.
8.Is it clear who is responsible for AI decisions, even if that person is just you?
For solo founders, this may simply mean knowing what you will and will not use AI for.
9.If AI tools genuinely helped, would you or your team realistically use them?
This is a practical adoption check, not a technical one.
10.Would you be able to measure whether AI is actually saving time or improving outcomes?
If you can’t measure it, you can’t justify scaling it.
