GrowthZoneAI x Inspire South Tyneside — Practical AI Workshops for VCSE
We’re proud to be working alongside Inspire South Tyneside to deliver practical, accessible AI workshops for voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations across the borough.
We’re proud to announce that GrowthZoneAI is working alongside Inspire South Tyneside to support practical AI adoption across the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector in South Tyneside.
VCSE stands for Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise.
Why this partnership matters
Inspire South Tyneside is the local infrastructure organisation for the South Tyneside VCSE sector. They provide information, advice and guidance to charities, non-profits and community groups — helping them connect, collaborate and grow. Their reach across the borough made them a natural partner for what we’re trying to do.
The VCSE sector is full of dedicated, passionate people doing vital work — often with stretched resources, tight budgets and very little time. Many of these organisations know AI exists, but don’t know where to start, whether it’s relevant to them, or how to use it without it feeling overwhelming.
That’s exactly the gap we want to help close.
Why VCSE organisations need practical AI support
Unlike larger businesses, VCSE organisations rarely have dedicated IT teams or innovation budgets. They rely on small teams (often volunteers) doing a lot with a little. The day-to-day work — emails, reports, funding bids, social media, event coordination — can take up so much time that there’s none left for the work that actually matters.
AI can help with that. Not by replacing people, but by taking the repetitive, time-consuming tasks off their plates so they can focus on delivering impact in their communities.
But the support has to be:
- Accessible — no jargon, no tech speak, no assumptions about what people already know
- Practical — rooted in real tasks and real workflows, not abstract theory
- Supportive — delivered in a way that builds confidence, not anxiety
What the workshops will cover
Our introductory workshops are designed to give VCSE organisations a clear, honest starting point with AI:
- What AI actually is — and what it isn’t (cutting through the noise)
- Practical use cases — how AI can help with emails, reports, funding bids, social media content and more
- Live demonstrations — showing AI tools in action on real tasks
- Guided exercises — so attendees can try things for themselves in a supported environment
- Clear next steps — what to do after the workshop to keep building confidence
We’re not selling software or pushing complex tools. We’re helping people see where AI fits into the work they already do — and giving them the confidence to try it.
What’s next
This is just the beginning. We’ll be announcing workshop dates and registration details through Inspire’s network and our own channels. If your organisation is based in South Tyneside and you’d like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you.
In the meantime, here are some useful next steps:
- Take the AI Readiness Scorecard — a quick, free assessment to see where your organisation stands
- Learn more about our partners — including Inspire, TEDCO and the South Tyneside Pledge
- Get in touch — to discuss AI workshops for your organisation or network
We believe every organisation — regardless of size or sector — deserves access to practical, honest AI support. This partnership with Inspire is one step towards making that happen.
