Why I Decided To Run My First Public AI Workshop
The story behind AI Without The Overwhelm, a relaxed, practical AI workshop for real businesses in the North East, and why the event matters.
For months, I have been having conversations with businesses, schools, charities and community organisations across the North East. The same themes keep coming up.
People are curious about AI. They know it is important. But many are unsure where to begin.
That is why I decided to create AI Without The Overwhelm.
A relaxed space to ask real questions
I wanted to create a relaxed workshop where people could ask questions, see practical examples and leave with ideas they could actually use.
No hype. No jargon. Just sensible conversations about AI and how it can support real businesses.
What to expect on the day
The session is built around practical demonstrations and plenty of time to ask the questions people often feel they cannot ask elsewhere. You will leave with a starter prompt pack, recommended tools and the confidence to take your first steps.
The workshop takes place on Wednesday 15 July 2026 at the Grand Hotel Gosforth Park, Newcastle.
