AI Power Hour and Focused Content Plan
Billy’s Lifeline already had plenty of meaningful work to talk about across its services, events, team, fundraising and community activity.
The challenge was finding the time to turn all of that into regular, consistent social media content.
GrowthZone AI worked with the charity through a focused AI Power Hour and practical content-planning support, helping the team make better use of the tools and information it already had rather than introducing unnecessary technology.
How did GrowthZone AI help Billy’s Lifeline?
GrowthZone AI delivered a focused AI Power Hour and created a practical 30-day social media content plan for Billy’s Lifeline. The work covered better prompting, multi-platform content repurposing, Canva, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, scheduling, automation ideas and safe AI use, with the aim of making regular content easier to manage without losing the charity’s human voice.
Billy’s Lifeline is a South Tyneside charity supporting families and loved ones after suicide loss.
The challenge
Billy’s Lifeline already had plenty of meaningful work to talk about across its services, events, team, fundraising and community activity.
The challenge was finding the time to turn all of that into regular, consistent social media content.
Much of the marketing activity was being managed manually, including:
- deciding what to post
- creating content in Canva
- adapting posts for different platforms
- scheduling content
- keeping messaging calm and consistent
- thinking ahead to future events and awareness periods
The charity was already using tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot and Canva, but wanted to understand how to use them more effectively.
The GrowthZone AI approach
GrowthZone AI delivered a focused AI Power Hour designed around the work Billy’s Lifeline was already doing.
Rather than introducing lots of new tools, the session focused on making better use of the systems already available.
We worked through:
- improving prompts in ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot
- giving AI better context before asking it to create content
- repurposing one idea across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok
- keeping tone of voice calm, clear and reassuring
- reviewing Canva and other content tools
- identifying where scheduling and automation could save time
- discussing safe and appropriate AI use
On safe use, the focus was on keeping personal and sensitive information out of public AI tools and keeping a person in charge of what gets published. Our guide on how charities can use AI without risking sensitive data covers this in more detail.
Creating a focused content plan
Following the session, GrowthZone AI created a practical 30-day content calendar using Billy’s Lifeline’s existing:
- website
- services
- events
- team
- social content
- community activity
The plan included ideas around:
- services and support
- team and trustee introductions
- events and fundraising
- community activity
- FAQs
- partnerships
- awareness content
- calls to action
- content for potential supporters and funders
We also planned ahead for November and December, creating seasonal content ideas around additional support, events, reassurance and encouraging people to reach out when they need help.

Making the process easier
The aim was not simply to create more social media posts.
It was to make the whole process easier to manage.
Instead of starting from a blank page each time, Billy’s Lifeline now has a clearer structure for turning the work it is already doing into useful content.
The Power Hour and focused plan also helped identify where AI could support the process without removing the human judgement that is so important to the charity.
