GrowthZone AI Helps Bedmax Build Practical AI Confidence
GrowthZone AI has worked with Northumberland manufacturer Bedmax to build practical AI confidence through responsible-use guidance and a hands-on team workshop.
GrowthZone AI has recently worked with Bedmax, an established Northumberland manufacturer, to help its team take a practical and responsible first step with Artificial Intelligence.
The work combined clear AI guidance and guardrails with a two-hour, in-person Practical AI Workshop for seven members of the Bedmax team.
The objective wasn't to introduce technology simply because it was available.
It was to help people understand what modern AI can and cannot do, where it could genuinely support their work and how to use it responsibly.
Practical AI for a real working environment
The workshop covered areas including:
- AI and Generative AI in plain English
- responsible AI and security
- ChatGPT
- Microsoft Copilot
- effective prompting
- everyday documents and administration
- identifying repetitive work
- choosing appropriate tools
- AI Assistants
Participants were encouraged to think about AI in the context of their own roles and processes rather than simply watching generic demonstrations.
From curiosity to practical opportunities
One of the strongest outcomes was a shift towards asking:
Where could AI make the way we currently work easier or more efficient?
Participant feedback highlighted AI security, better prompting, choosing the right tool and learning about AI Assistants as particularly useful parts of the session.
One attendee described the workshop as:
Perfect for the mixed amount of knowledge in the room.
From the thread
For GrowthZone AI, that is exactly the point.
AI training should not assume everybody starts in the same place.
It should give people enough understanding to make sensible decisions about what comes next.
